![]() A totally different approach to sculling. Since the riggers on most sliding seat boats are 5 ft across, this boat uses that full width for complete stability. The actual hulls are,at 8 inches, in fact, much narrower than those of a racing scull, so the potential for speed is considerable. With no fear of tipping over, you can really work out on this boat in a way that takes much more skill - and practice time - on a real racing boat. Since it dismantles quickly (using only 6 wingnuts) into its component parts - of which the hulls at 5.5m (18 ft) long - but only 12kg (25 lbs) - are the largest pieces, it's actually very easy to transport and store too! It exels in rough water that no conventional sculling boat could cope with, but is also very comfortable for those more relaxed outings - just pottering along admiring the view. |
